So, an Anon already posted asking for advice on how to style wigs, but I feel like I'll have to ask again because I need more specific advice.

I'm having some problems on properly styling bangs (both blunt and ones with spikes).

I wore my Nijika costume twice, first time we cut the bangs horizontally with a scissor, then hold together some portions of it with my fingers and sprayed some hair fixer on it (the can was pretty close to the hair). End result is on pic 1, looked way too "blocky" and somewhat weird, also some parts of the bangs were entering my hair.

Second time, I cut all of it to a more proper length but forgot to style, so it ended up looking, well, unstyled. I also think I cut way too much of the side hair, because I just noticed later on the pics we got that my hair was somewhat showing on the sides (pic 2).

I'm planning on later doing Gura (blunt bangs) and sooner Ulquiorra (spiky hair), already bought a straight black wig and wanted to know any tips and tricks, both for cutting (like separating portions of it to cut individually instead of cutting all the hair loose), doing the spikes his hair has around the neck and doing those crossed bangs he has, which to me it looks like two long portions of hair crossed one above another and sprayed to hold the pointy shape and the placement.

pic 3 is the wig I bought for Ulquiorra (the pic is from the wig's customer reviews and ratings), pic 4 is the goal for it.

one last addendo, I already tried doing spiky bangs, on my gf's wig (she was cosplaying bocchi), this time we tried spraying it with hair fixer from a good distance, holding the hair together so it holds the pointy shape and blowing some hot air to shape it nicely (didnt work out, probably because the order we did this process was wrong).

Thanks in advance guys.
