Hell even some of the faculty members I've worked with can't write for shit. I just got an email from my internship supervisor (who is a full professor and runs his own lab) and it honestly reads like it was written by a twelve year old. I constantly get complimented on my "writing style" and told I seem super professional in my essays and correspondence when honestly all I do is use fucking spellcheck and proper punctuation, yet they treat me like I'm Charles fucking Dickens. I hope I never have to deal with student essays myself because I would probably just go around stabbing everyone with a red pen.
