>Does anyone have any artist alley horror stories they would like to tell?
First time I sold was at AnimeNEXT with a table I was sharing with like 6 other people I only had a small number of items but I was the one stuck doing 80% of the selling with another table mate after the one chick with horrible art (think prints of pencil art taken with a camera, lined paper, etc) flaked out cause she wasn't selling anything.
>What was your first time selling like? Were you prepared?
Absolutely not, not for the amount of attention and work. I still had fun tho and sold out a few prints.
>What's the best con you've sold at? Worst con? How much did you make?
I don't sell often even though I would like to. I have a hard time deciding on if I want to attend or sell. I usually just sell at small cons. Last con I went to had an attendance of maybe 1000 and I made about $850. I want to maybe start selling at bigger cons but I'm a bit nervous to have a table all my own at big ones. I'm self-conscious lol
>What's your favorite thing to make and sell, besides prints?
I love to make resin and sculpey things. Every year I try something new and sell the stuff that's my best for fun.
>What's the weirdest thing you've seen being sold at an AA?
Not really weird but I recently saw someone selling literally traced art all of it from dragonball z. I didn't get a real good look at their table but I was confused to say the least.
>What's the most creative thing you've seen being sold at an AA?
Probably not the MOST creative but I bought a pear-parrot shaped stress ball for $5 that was cute as fuck. I'd never seen a stress ball in an AA before that.
>What are some beginner AA mistakes you made?
Not enough change, too many prints (seriously I made like 60 of each 4x6 print), trusting the wrong people
