Same. When I first started getting into lolita at 16 all the styles I liked were too 'mature' for my babyface and several comm members tried to get me into sweet. It's just not my thing. So in my teens I may have looked a bit ridiculous but now that I'm in my early twenties I'm finally starting to grow into my style. I still like the kind of old school sweet that borders on natural kei, though. The sort of thing that passes for frumpy lacy sundresses. That kind of feminine frumpiness is timeless enough that I'll still feel comfortable wearing it when I'm older.

When I get much older I want to be Geraldine Mcewan's Jane Marple so all these frilly blouses and cardigans will still come in handy. Assuming they'll still fit/haven't fallen apart, of course. All I'll really need to look for is cute hats and cute comfy shoes and poof, instant granny chic.
