I find myself wearing these old flatforms from mon lily the most often. They're great for when I don't want to wear heels but still want some height, and they're basic enough to go with anything. I have them in white and black.

So my vote would definitely be for a basic flatform. Chunky heels are good too since you still have that support, but I'll personally go for the flatform over that if given the choice. For color I'd probably go for black, since it's ubiquitous enough to go with any color outfit, even all white outfits.
