The sound patches sound like a cool idea. What if you wire the whole costume that way?

I'm more or less settled of the Gundam DX as my next suit (though I probably won't be able to start it for a long while). While the green chest light seems pretty basic, I'm a little lost with the golden mirror wings. I want to have them light up like in the show. >>6965593
mentioned EL tape but it'd take a crapton to cover the entire surface and if each one takes its own power source, it'd be an undesirable mess of wiring (and unnecessary dead weight). Is there any kind of EL tape of some sort that covers a wide area?
