I need to create scale-like texture on my EVA foam armor. I was originally going to carve the texture onto the foam with a wood-burning tool, however I ran into these texture stamps/rollers that you can use to imprint textures onto foam with a bit of heat. Anyone have any experience using these and how is the difficulty of imprinting the pattern onto pieces that are already assembled and not flat on a surface? Had I known this was a thing I would have imprinted the textures before assembly, but it's too late for that.
