/cgl/ - Cosplay & EGL

Tried asking in the last thread but no dice. I'm planning on doing a White Witch cosplay, and am brainstorming how to do the cracks of light in the bodysuit. All I can come up with is EL wire, but I'm afraid that'll just end up looking like the lines on Tron (the new one) clothing. It's hard as hell to find a decent picture of her since her name is the subtitle of the game, but here's part of a cutscene (convienently started right after a major spoiler, don't rewind) from the game where you can see what I'm talking about. And also, if anyone wants to answer a second question, where do you all recommend for specialty prescription contacts. The only ones I can find in that bluish-green cat eye pupil are like $250 a pair.

I've got an idea for a cosplay of the White Witch from Ni no Kuni, and for the lights on her torso, arms, and legs, all I can think of is EL wire. Do you think that would work well? My only worries are that a) there would be too much to power without lugging around a bunch of 9-volts, and b) it would look more like Tron lines than what it's supposed to be.
