I would go with light blue for Rilakumma since it feels like it would be a better contrast than yellow. Blue being a cool color would make it feel more soft and chill too. But that depends on the kind of theme you’re going for.

I’m working on beefing up and expanding my Cecil UtaPri bags for Sak in a couple weeks. There’s a Cecil fan I follow who makes very nice bags of him that I’m taking a lot of inspiration from. Other than him I haven’t really been working on or expanding my collections on other characters for bagging purposes, mostly just plushes or standees I can decorate shrines with.
