I know the thread's been derailed far from its original topic, but

I kinda just feel like the Jfash conversation is dead altogether in the anglosphere atm. There hasn't really been much to discuss since all the gyaru substyles filtered down to normie-tier, and now Larme isn't the novelty it was several years ago. I'm sure people are still enthusiastic about "alternative" Jfash (i.e. neither mainstream nor as alt as fairy kei, for instance) because the fukubukuro threads are still super popular, but it would be interesting to hear the perspective of a Japanese 20something on whether brands like Rosemarie Seoir are still ~relevant. Most of the current Larme models seem to dress like office ladies in their own time, with the exception of Chisato because she is always on holiday.

I follow a lot of Himekaji instas but by and large, Jfash insta is dominated by that rainby kaweewee bastardisation of decora popularised by Pixielocks, along with taobao resellers and Dollskill shills. Maybe the discussion is happening elsewhere and I'm just old and out of touch. Discord a shit, I only really use insta/fbook/imageboards, and I assumed Tumblr died a death long ago. I got into Jfash through purpose-built forums and LJ communities, and I've found it difficult to adapt to the current model where you participate in the community by way of accumulating internet kudos and perfecting your personal brand. Where my fellow over 30s at? Don't pretend you have better things to do than shitposting in the current year.

Anyway here's vintage Saaya
