make sure your eyes are wetter than your finger. after washing your hands and retrieving the lens, tap the finger you'll use to insert the lens on the back of your hand.
also, try different angles while popping them in. you'll definitely need your other fingers to help hold your eyelids back.

sage for hideous, but this is how i do it since i'm squeamish about popping that shit directly over my pupils. same method for eyedrops use, too.

put the lense on your sclera rather than over your own iris and pupil, and then look/blink into it.
