the clean lines and exaggerated accesories of most modern lolita looks cartoonish to me. i prefer things with smaller size and more texture, rather than the giant chunky, blocky, print-centric style that currently dominates.

the oversized cartoonishness keeps lolita on the costumey end of the fashion spectrum.
