(2/2) My other favorite Taobao piece is from R-Series/Rose and Bones.

It is priced considerably more than most TB lolita dresses and well worth it! The velvet is so plush and comfortable. I honestly need a throw blanked made out of that material. The print is rich and vibrant; the design is printed directly on top of the satin and has a lovely sheen that imitates the iridescence of a real Morpho butterfly’s wings. The print does not line up perfectly due to the shape of the skirt but that is not too obvious.

Custom matching ribbon/bias tape is used inside the garment. The OP is fully lined.

My only gripe with this dress is the length and location of the zipper and really, it’s a personal problem--I am not nearly flexible enough to pull the zipper up by myself and it’s a literal pain to figure out the right way to reach around.

Other brands I would recommend: SweetDreamer, Yolanda. I’ve heard good things about the quality of Dear Celine, Surface Spell, and Krad Lanrete but haven’t bought from them yet. Hoping to see some reviews of them here!
