Help with gluing rhinestones needed.

I bought appropriate rhinestone glue as opposed to using yellow contact glue like I've used before.
So I glued dozens of rhinestones with this proper glue and let it dry for 2 whole days. Then I washed the shirt and they all came loose. The glue turned back to white from being transparent.

What the hell is this? 2 days should be plenty of time for a drop of glue to dry. The fabric in question is cotton which should provide a good hold too.

How do I glue rhinestones on cotton?
I couldn't find actual rhinestone glue so I got yellow contact glue and used that. It dries pretty much instantly and feels like a strong bond.
How do you think it will hold?
