this anon nailed it right there. i used to like going to cons, USED to be a furry enjoyer, but the fetishized gender politics faggotry downright ruined fandom and cosplay for me. i'd dress up as my own OC so nobody would pay much attention to me (just wanted to enjoy myself) and didn't bother with fursuits. just kinda normal looking cat thing wearing human clothing. like the oldschool fucking anthropomorphic fans would have done.
THEN seedy-looking bronies and diaper-wearers, sexual orientation preference flags, and it became CANCER. my last anthrocon was in 2016, tyvm politics and wall-and-basement-dwellers. picrel, a furry fandom fursuit all ready to be a furry at a furcon. very depressing.
