It was really interesting. We didn't have to read a bunch of pointless facts. We listened to music from the era, perused photographs of prominent architecture, followed the trail on maps of the dispersion of ethnic groups, we got to touch inventions and try on clothes. It was one of the better classes I ever had to take. Like I said, the professor was really into it and you could tell.

It's sad, but it's well known that for the exception of maybe Black History month, elementary and high school history class is usually exclusively about white history. Even that is just a bunch of dates, facts, and endless reading.
