imo they have that slightly sweet vibe that seperates gothic lolita from western goth, that's why i like them a lot. yeah, i agree that shoes of kera height can be too uncomfortable. i also own swing, charade and bravo shoes by demonia and they all get uncomfortable after a while.

what i haven't owned or tried on are pic related (abbey), they look less sweet, have a reasonable heel height for walking and the extra straps seem to add more support to the ankle. although i've heard from other people that the ones with the crossed straps are uncomfortable because the straps sit weirdly on the foot. (but those would look too sweet anyways)
