ouji is made by the same brands that make lolita. it has the same substyles. and sweet has been very popular for a very long time.

here is a scan that has the word "sweet" in English next to the kanji for prince/ouji so you can find it easily.

they are closer to sweet and classic ouji than gothic. the first two are a bit OTT, and all three are definitely more princely feeling, the way hime lolita has a more dressed-up/royal feel than non-hime.

pic related has an example of "sweet ouji" on the left, with more examples below it. you can have sweet in dark or muted colors or jewel tones; what separates it from "classic ouji" (examples in lower right of >>8781874) are the motifs in prints, the playful or "younger" look.

but this is open to interpretation and discussion. i have never seen anyone discuss these 2 scans and what they mean for ouji substyles, if anything. a lot of people seem to think sweet ouji means pastels and girly motifs, but to me the playing cards, Mad Hatterness, florals, as well as the shape (shorter or poofier) mark them as closer to sweet.

but also fairly close to classic. if you want to define your style, perhaps "sweet-classic ouji" would get the least disagreement.

this scan splits sweet ouji ("Sweet 王子") from "Schoolboy" style.
