Most high level cosplayers are passionate enough about cosplay to volunteer. If you want to talk about foot-fall, Jnig and all the other fap material cosplayers can still be used to promote the event, do signing and pose for 40 year old virgins fetlife profile pics. Having a judge panel of people who have been involved in the competitive scene is only going to boost interest from the hardcore cosplayers.
