Anyways, I said something that went like this:

A little patience goes a long way. If the opinionated one is into gothic, try nonchalantly posting an inspirational gothic lolita coord thread to catch her attention instead. Ask others to post some of their favorites too. If she posts ita, it'll be a good opportunity to explain why it isn't working.

For the OTT one, exercise her imagination by posting stuff like "OTT classic"! If she's that enthusiastic about OTT, then let her be. It can't hurt too bad, unless your city/whatever tends to beat up people for wearing unusual clothing.
