Why the fuck are you all so concerned about how other people want to spend their money? If you don't like what these people are doing, don't give them your money. I can't believe that on this stupid Chinese website, people will pay hundreds of dollars for plastic action figures, brand name frilly clothes, and admission to sweaty autism festivals, but if someone else wants to buy a CD of photos of their cosplay waifu or pay for some of their time, you all lose your shit. Get over yourselves. Honestly /cgl/ is the most pretentious and catty board outside of /lgbt/.

>friends

Very positive.
All of them used to be weeabos to various degrees, so everyone knew about the Lolita style. I was very glad, because it spared me any discussions/arguments/explanations.
No one was suprised when I started Lolita, they like it; although some judge me a little becuse it is so expensive.

>family

Mixed.
My mother likes some of my dresses and the aesthetic, but in general remains neutral to negative regarding Lolita. She thinks it is way too expensive, not suited for every day wear and thinks it might scare people off. She blames the fashion that I am a social awkward loner at Uni (which is probably more my fault for being shy and social akwkward - not to mention I rarely wear Lolita to Uni and if I do, I go in safe casual mode trying to hide my power level as much as possible). She thinks I look better in jeans and T-shirts and that Lolita makes me look like a stuck up arrogant bitch. Well... But she does not make much negative comments and usually accepts it; we silently agreed that it would not make sense to argue about this anyway.
My father and my brothers do not really care (or notice any difference between Lolita and normal fag clothes anyway). My little sister loves it and thinks I look pretty in Lolita.
My grandma was seriously concerned at the beginning; she aked me if it was "some sort of political movement". When I denied that, she seriously asked me if I had joined a religios cult... She likes the longer skirts, because she thinks my legs are too fat to be shown in public.

>Have you ever embarrassed yourself by showing your power level?

I try to hide my Lolita power level as much as possible (well, as much as possible while wearing a frilly dress). I usually go as casual as possible in Lolita, and never mention the name to people I am not close with; if someone asks, I usually say I am wearing "japanese street fashion", unless the person already knows enough about the fashion to avoid disucssions on the name.

OP did you get rejected by somebody?
Did someone tell you that you're ugly today?
Was it some fat girl?

There are particular things I really don't like about the way people look, but nothing in particular really compels me to obsess about them in the manner in which you speak. This is actually very, very pathetic and you sound like pathetic little girls.
