>take out my hair ribbons and bobby pins and form a makeshift shoe clip that holds it together

i am the lolita macgyver, wish me luck that this holds for the rest of the school day

I know that this is supposed to be about me, but I think this is the best thread for stories like mine. I'm Japanese and was basically fresh-off-the-boat in middle and highschool so I had a lot of run-ins with weebs. (they were all very nice people and i don't hold anything against them but some of the things they did to me were very strange)

>be me in middle school
>changing in locker room after gym class
>girl with a pipecleaner stuck in her hair runs in (i later learned that the pipecleaner was meant to be an irl ahoge)
>corners me while i'm shirtless
>looks me dead in the eye
>"you look like your name would be Aoi-chan"
>"i'm going to call you Aoi-chan from now on, Aoi-chan."
>am terrified and can't speak english all that well yet
>just nod until she leaves

>be me, freshman in highschool
>senior girl gets very attached to me
>still kind of engrish so she does all the talking
>spends the entire time we're together fawning over me and telling me i look like all of her favorite kawaii japanese celebrities
>most of the time they look nothing like me
>"You look just like Yohio!"
>look up yohio later that day
>he's a blonde-haired swedish boy
>i'm a black-haired japanese girl

>weebs convince me to join the asian culture club
>why not, i'm asian and extracurriculars look good
>arrive to the first meeting
>not a single asian person in sight aside from me
>everybody else is in some form of impractical closet cosplay
>all we do is watch an episode of some anime with a lot of shirtless men
>at some point in the meet everybody pulls out onigiri
>one girl looks me in the eye as she slowly eats hers
