>-Does anyone have any artist alley horror stories they would like to tell? And the opposite, too: Has anything awesome ever happened to you at the AA?
Not really a horror story, but I seem to attract a lot of people who like to hover at the table and talk at me without the intention of buying anything. I don't know if I seem approachable or they're awkward but it gets annoying when they're blocking you. I've also had to deal with a table partner's hotel drama secondhand which is no fun.
For awesome stuff, I get a lot of returning customers over the years and I've met a lot of really nice artists. I recently had an online fan give me a drawing of my character at a con, which was very sweet.

>-What was your first time selling like? Were you prepared?
I shared a table with a friend, and I had maybe 4 prints and a few stickers which barely took up most of the space. Surprisingly I did ok, it helped that I had friends who did AA longer than I did who could give me pointers.

>-What's the best con you've sold at? Worst con? How much did you make?
I did very well last Fanime [pulled in around 2K to my surprise]. Worst was probably Fanime 2 years prior when the AA was in a tent outside of the con center.

>-What's your favorite thing to make and sell, besides prints?
I started doing really quick and crappy ink commissions for 5 dollars apiece because I was bored, and the requirement was that the subject matter had to be weird. It was a lot of fun, I enjoy making people laugh! I also like to screenprint stickers.

>-What's the most creative thing you've seen being sold at an AA?
My buddies make intricate pipe cleaner art of characters. It's cool to watch them work on commissions and people love it.

>-What are some beginner AA mistakes you made?
Overprinting, not proofing colors, forgetting to eat. Tabling with people who are difficult to work with.
