Dang I remember when I'd google "Harajuku girl" outfits and was into visual kei music and j pop (still listen to some of the bands but back then it was pretty much all I heard) and Vocaloid songs oh wow... remember when World is Mine was a new song?

Pic related is what first got me interested in lolita fashion, and gothic lolita especially. I still dream of having super long ass hair.

I've got knee-length hair, admittedly cutting it shorter soon, but honestly I think that kind of length makes your hair too flat for lolita unless you have blessed genes.
Curling it and doing things like >>7985486 looks lovely, but given the effort and risk to damaging your hair, wigs are still usually easier. Braided updos are great for hiding 'fairy tales' but again, it's half to time spent just to put on a nice wig.

Personally for natural hair I prefer just shorter than shoulder length, with a fringe, and then curled. But you can't beat a great wig for volume.

Agreeing with >>7985625 anon in everyday lolitas tend to use their own hair, but it's more casual so that doesn't get posted online so much.
