Sorry for sounding dumb, but, why not just try to work on being less salty of a person then? Life is too short to spend it senselessly bitter about trivial stuff, you know? Maybe that's easy for me to say because I sorta have that rose-colored attitude and I really do not belong on this board attitude wise (just come here once every 50 years to look at coord pics), but, seriously, I encourage people to try to change themselves for the better if they want to.

I agree with what you say and it's one of the reason I love her so much, she really was a "real life" Lolita and her blog was a peek into her daily life and thoughts instead of being just a collection of outfit snaps, she wore simple outfits for everyday wear and saved the extravagant for photo-shoots and parties. I don't think any of her outfits were ita at all, I think today's Lolita has just gotten too used to seeing everything in OTT. A lot of people complained that she was fake, but I think she was very real, and was brave to show off herself so much and inspire an entire group of girls.

I (hesitantly) admit I dress a lot like she did (and like many girls back then did), slim or no makeup, simple cords with very little crazy printed dresses, sometimes not even any real headwear. I feel happier when I dress up more simple. I'm always worried about what other lolitas would think, but I try not to let that bother me and just dress how I feel comfortable.
