/cgl/ - Cosplay & EGL

So me and the gf are gonna cosplay/halloween dress-up as Billy Hatcher and Rolly Roll.

I've never made footwear before, how would I go about making the boots? I've looked around value village for used boots that I could possibly re-purpose/cover, but found nothing that satisfies me so I'm just going to do it from scratch.

I figure I can use suede leather for the brown ankle part, but what would I use to make the blue upper part? Some sort of blue vinyl? The other thing is how on earth do you shape the boot to have that nice bulbous toe?
