that can be said for literally every costuming comm tho. lolita and cosplay you'll find the same shit.
people hate furries because they assume it's about real animals. and a lot of the 'older' fursuiters don't understand wearing a suit after awhile gets you stinky.

they swap between the grump and toony style, nothings set in stone for them. sunnyvalley is a nice alternative though, their toony reminds me of AF. same for phoenix nest's.
