>my friend says I'm not a real cosplayer because I'm not a pro and only cosplay at cons
>mfw they don't even cosplay themselves, they just like to talk shit and look pretentious
>I even told them that most people who are into cosplay don't have this opinion, and they just replied that they knew more "more sophisticated and intelligent" people who obviously know more than me

>they also refer to themselves as an otaku and call me a weeaboo almost 24/7
>it didn't bother me at first because I thought they were just kidding, but recently I've come to the realization that they aren't and even told them to knock it off
>mfw they tell me that they "watch more anime faster than you" as if that gives them the right to be a rude ass, it's especially infuriating because even though we've seen close to the same amount of shows, they don't retain any information about what they watch (characters/show titles/plotlines) and don't comprehend the more difficult things and are always asking me to explain something or for help in general
Like idk. I realize how much of an angry nerd that makes me sound like, but I know a lot about anime and I take pride in that, since it's my favorite hobby. I hide my powerlevel and act like a normal person in public, so to be compared to a run of the mill weeb is just really insulting. Especially when the person calling you one calls you a "baka" while doing so most of the time.

I just got into a fight with them about the first one a few minutes ago actually. Goddamn, and to think I actually was head over heels with them at one point.
