/cgl/ - Cosplay & EGL

I'm planning on doing a Tohru cosplay and while I'm not concerned with the horns or wings, I'm not sure what is the best way to go about making the tail. I want it to curve up rather than hang like a dead animal and drag on the floor. I'm not sure if I should make it out of foam and cover it with fabric or if I should use fabric and stuffing and use a heavy duty wire for the spine. I think going the softer route would be better for walking around in a con but I also don't feel like it would be very sturdy.
