So I'm going to try and put together a moderate-quality Ant-Man costume before halloween. A friend of mine recommended I start with the same lycra undersuit Stormtrooper cosplayers use and then layering some fabric and panelling on top of it.

Would that work, and if so, what would be the best way to go about putting everything together, and what kinda material would you recommend for the red highlights?
