I'm thinking about taking off the side panels of this skirt and using them to make a bodice. The only problem is, I don't have the skirt yet so no idea if there's enough fabric, and I'm also slightly apprehensive about altering brand (terrified I'll get it wrong and ruin the skirt).

Has anyone got any good altering brand stories/before and afters to look at?
