I have the brown colorway, but in all of my house lighting it looks really dark. It's more of a chocolate brown. The lace is cream colored cotton and pretty nice, but if you're tall then the waist will come up way too high and make you look a bit fat. My true waist is about 4 to 5 inches below the dress waist, and I'm 5'9. The underskirt is very narrow at the top and doesn't allow much room for a bell petti.
