The 50s is all about clean lines, rounded chairs and sofas without the look of extra cushions. Rounded edged tables, even the fridges. Even certain color schemes. Also, the 50s were all about the future, so incorporate items that seem retro futuristic. That means toaster ovens, colored pots and pants - not just black or silver. Utensils with round ends in bright pastel colors. Its honestly going to be a little hard to make everything look Swankiss unless you plan to paint a lot.
