/cgl/ - Cosplay & EGL

The only regret I'll ever have is...not start cosplaying before 20. I regret being one of those lolitas that look down on "those filthy weebs" and think they're better and more grounded in life than everyone when in reality...I was missing all the fun.
Man, I love dressing up as my chinese cartoons and games. And I wish I have discovered it earlier, because I have the feeling that I'll have to quit cosplay at 27 and even now at 24 I'm starting to feel kinda creepy for school uniforms and magical girl/idol dresses (even more when I'm told I look younger...weird, I should be flattered), with all those youngsters flooding cons lately and all my old friends coming from lolita and having the lolita vs. weebs mindset. I feel old and lonely, and maybe if I started cosplaying earlier this wouldn't happen.
