Funny story, I knew someone that tried to call bullshit on my half-Japanese friend's heritage, until they met her grandparents, who pretty much only speak Japanese majority of the time and stay in the Japantown neighborhood only. It's no wonder all the elders of the neighborhood aren't comfortable with the weeaboos that hang around there much.

I used to be a weeaboo (liked everything Japanese but never went to the level of claiming to be one) until I befriended this friend. It's also fun to talk to her because I get to talk to her about my own heritage with her that we share. I never get people that cosplay or wear shitty satin robes during Obon out of all things...

Also I hear Electric Lady is 1/4 Japanese? Many half or mixed Japanese people I knew tend to not cosplay...
