Lol anon I wouldn't even have recognized it as pony hadn't it been brought up explicitly. Mods gave furries a pass for this because it's about costumes, the /mlp/ rule is 1) from a different time and 2) pretty clearly about preventing a specific behaviour. Anon is here to talk about costumes, not ponies, the costume in specific just happens to be a pony.
This is like demanding post-op trans people use their bio-sex bathroom; sure, there's a point of technicality in there, but contextually it's just absurd to try and reinforce the rule in question.
