Same. I could never get into any gen other than 2nd. I think it was the age, but even nowadays, I'll go straight for GSC. I'm still on the third or fourth gym in the ruby version I started three months ago.

Nobody in my group/circle seems to remember or care for 2nd gen though. They're all either so old school they only believe in the first 150, or are 3DS fags who play the latest pokemon and promptly forget the previous gen. It makes me quite sad.
