I personally like using grey contacts, yellow contacts are kinda hard to find ( aka yellow ones that don't look shitty) but even if you use yellow contacts it won't really look right unless you use scelera lenses (which are risky to wear for too long i think wearing them for 2 hours is pushing it, and getting them in isn't for beginners)
Yeah so i'd say go for a grey colour, or even a pitch black colour

look at karkat's hair and compare it to your wig. the tips of his hair on the sides flip up, not down/out. his bangs lay messily on his forehead, not in one huge spike that goes past his eyebrows. the hair on top of his head all goes to his left, not in two different directions. there is no evidence of a part anywhere.
