Let's talk about neckribbons!

Less about pic related, and more of a regular blouse with a regular ribbon threaded through and tied into a bow.
I'm experimenting with lolita as everyday wear, and the blouse+skirt option really works for me. Neckbows seem like a great way to add interest to a rather plain coord, plus you can swap out the colors and coordinate with your palate.

What kind of ribbons should I use? There's a certain kind of ribbon, I don't know what it is, but I've seen girls use it and it looks cheap and wrong. How do I get it right? What should it be made of? Should I fold the ribbon on itself and sew it down for thickness?

Are Sax and Mint two different things now?

You guys want a special word for everything.

It's like how you call a sleeveless dress a JSK and a dress an OP.
