When it's felted (needle or wet) properly, it should handle a lot of use; at most, strands will come loose on the surface (inside and out) since you are handling it, but it's nothing to worry as it wouldn't suddenly come apart from that. Also longs as there's no sharp objects that cuts/scratches the felted item, it'll be fine - basically treat it like any other leather/cloth/synthetic wallet, and I think its "lifespan" is more similar to cloth ones.

I could see after like a couple of years of constant use (or something silly happens) where the thread breaks around the metal clasp >>9455656 If you look closely, you'll see that the clasp was sewn onto the edge of the coin purse. I do my best to secure the clasp but thankfully that stuff can also be resewn on.

Another thing to consider is how thin/thick is the felted purse. Pic related, one of the very first I've made and it's honestly too thick (0.25") for its small size, so it will never lose its shape. It can squish and flex since it's still wool, but it will bounce back. I guess if it was thinner, and used often, the shape of the purse will warp but nothing drastic.

I hope that helps, it's just from my own personal experience and observations. All this talk makes me want to get back into wet felting again...
