>>why do you like old school? Do you like post old school as well?
I love old school. Even though I never really became a lolita, old school gothic was what introduced me to lolita fashion in the first place. Back then it wasn't "old school" of course but the hottest shit there was. It gives me nostalgia and still looks amazing.

I do like post OC lolita too, but it more often than not looks like a costume to me, way too OTT and it somehow seems to piss into its own shoe by looking like a costume while claiming it's not. Don't get me wrong, current lolita (even OTT) looks amazing, but it feel really superficial to me.

>>what's your favorite thing about old school? The attitude? The styling?
Attitude, which includes everything else. OC is somehow more effortless and it still manages to stand out from general fashion to its benefit. I love the usage of natural or dyed hair instead of wigs, the "I don't care what you think what so ever, I wear whatever the fuck I want be it a scratchy lace dress or a maxi pad on my head"-attitude and how it still manages to look fabulous.

To me, old school jfashion in general was more free. No nitpicking rules about everything matching and going by the book, it was expression at its fullest. The point was to rebel against the "dress code" and while sub-styles had recognizable traits to them, everybody was free to interpret the style of their choice how they wanted.

>>best thing about the dresses themselves?
Simplicity and at times great materials like velvet and lace. The possibilities to combine things together for a cool look, I don't know, there just can't be enough velvet, unsymmetrical hemlines and ribbons.

>>what do you like the least about old school?
The occasional horrible materials and probably the "baby"-ish look of OC sweet lolita. But that's it I guess.
