Pretty much this, it's basically now THE party con after Yaoi Con got moved to SoCal and weeded out a lot of the attendees.

I like ALA, since they're good about their cosplay gatherings and have a snack area to survive on (you're not really supposed to, but it's all good). And you could talk to guests drunk with no fucks given.
