/cgl/ - Cosplay & EGL

This happened to me a while back at a con earlier this year
>brother sets me up with nerdy girl who wants to go to cons too
>she wants to cosplay and match me
>make my cosplay and make one to match her
>she gets tons of pics taken of her, I occasionally get asked to be in them too
the real kicker was
>girls keep coming up to her and telling her she's so talented and asking how she made this or that
>they even occasionally asked how she made my cosplay
Ended up getting in a fight with her because she wouldn't correct them about it, but to be honest I'm more mad that people in the cosplay community think guys are useless and incapable of making things. They honestly thought I was just a big idiot who had his gf make him a cosplay, like I wasn't some "real cosplayer" or "real nerd". This hobby and community is just so anti-male that it pisses me off, especially here.
