After seeing >>8562236 's post sharing their stories, I propose everyone share their favorite Halloween stories.

>my house is only house on street to do Halloween
>we're pretty much known as 'that house' and people come every year
>that year I outdo myself, make dirty and bloody nightgown
>tease the fuck out of wig and cover self in blood
>scare kiddies by stepping out from behind porch stone pillar
>no one comes for a bit
>sit down on the steps with my legs drawn up and candy in my hands to nom
>see two kids coming down the street
>instantly freeze and put my head down
>kids are talking about the decorations and approach the driveway
>think I'm a decoration
>lift my head and silently hold out hand with candy in it
>kids scream and run back to the sidewalk and then run across the street to stare at me from sidewalk over there
>"You forgot your candy.."
>can't for the life of me coax them back over to get their candy, even with the promise of chocolate bars

same night, I'm just chilling cause it's nearing 9pm

>car pulls up
>kid gets out of the car
>spots me
>gets back in car and slams door
>mom has window down, can hear her yelling
>oh shit, am I in trouble for scaring her kid?
>"You better get out of this car and get that candy or we're not going to any other houses!!"
>trying so hard not to laugh
>kid refuses to get out of the car
>mother finally drives off
