Weird feel. But to piggyback off >>10020269's post, I also appreciate the community, I love that I'm involved after years of dreaming and buying, being ita, etc.
However the reason I joined was almost kind of evil. I loved the drama I saw online when I was a teenager (back in the days of getoffegl and when cgl was vicious) and I kind of idolised it. I wasn't very popular in school and if I wasn't being flat out ignored whenever I did speak, I was picked on a lot. I saw this world of beautifully dressed girls who were so confident in what they wore, they knew they looked amazing. But also no one would sugar coat anything, people were backstabbing each other and starting rumours and I saw it all over the community. You'd think that would turn me off, but it became my entertainment and I'd daydream about being the head of a comm, adored and feared, like blair waldorf or regina george, but a pastel pink lolita version. I would daydream about tearing down the girls that came for my spot through sheer machiavellianism, and reigning supreme. Of course, it was a silly little daydream to make up for the lack of control in my own life at the time, and now I know it was stupid, and I'd hate to be in a comm that was particularly catty and backstabby.

But I think you've listened to me ramble long enough, I guess I just wanted to say thank you to the community for helping my adolescence be a little less shitty, even through watching your shittyness (jk, I love you salty seagulls).
