/cgl/ - Cosplay & EGL

Hello CGL. I'm currently trying to make a temari (a Japanese cloth/ yarn ball with thread emboidery/stiches making up the art on the balls) and have run into a problem. I'm trying to make it as authentic as I can and the red ribbon with the flower on it is proving to be harder then I expected. I can't find anything like it on any temari online and a test version I made out of satin ribbon looked like a cheap package topper. Does anyone know the name of this decoration? As well as what fabric/ribbon I should make it out of?
