/cgl/ - Cosplay & EGL

I plan on cosplaying this outfit with this weapon, and I'm totally lost as to where to start. I kind of want to make the weapon first, and I want to make it really glow using LEDs. Anyway, I'm completely without a paddle. What suggestions do you have?

Hello /cgl/,

I'm really interested in doing my first detailed cosplay. Pretty much everything else I've ever done has been simple enough to pull of by wearing a suit or something like that. What I'd really like to do now is put all my effort into crafting something unique and special. I want to wear the Executioner's Set from Bloodborne, and wield the Holy Moonlight Blade. I just don't know where to start, except a few notions and ideas that kind of only sprung up from nowhere. I'd love to hear any and all advice on how to accomplish making this costume from the ground up, from material to methods to... just whatever. Thank you!
