Hi larpthread,

Yesterday, I was struck by an idea which is dumb even for my very low standards: to write a one-shot Yu-Gi-Oh! larp.

I was playing in another one-shot larp yesterday, which was about a bunch of people trapped in a recently explored Egyptian tomb. To escape the players had to solve a number of riddles to escape and play a number of games to save their souls. I jokingly called it a yugioh larp, then realized that a yugioh larp was an amazingly terrible idea and that I wanted to run one.

So, I want to run a larp about anime hijinks, discovering ancient playing cards, and generally taking a card game way too seriously. I'm thinking about 20ish players, and I'll probably get each of them a deck with shitty basic cards to play with. I'll probably need to find a simplified and/or sped up version of the game to make it manageable for all players, but I'm sure it'll work out.

Now, my question to you is: what would you like to see in such a larp? What do you think would be fun to play? All ideas are welcome.
