I put my annual pass to good use and Headed to Disneyland yesterday. It stirred up some fond memories for me...I hadn't interacted with a face character in years but this thread made me want to again.

See when I was a little girl I loved Belle and Ariel but Belle was by far my favorite. I had a little blue and white Dress I wore ALL the time and my mom took me to disneyland one day so we could "see her." I was so excited to see Belle I think I cried a little on the way there out of excitement I was very very young...Young enough to be in a stroller and need a little help walking (I distinctly remember falling down a lot as my mom and I ran to the entrance as the park opened.

She didn't have much money- My mom I mean, she had me very young so this was a big thing- anyway, we searched the park up and down but Belle didn't seem to be anywhere and I was starting to get a little disappointed but kept keeping my hopes up in ...pretty much denial lol that we'd still see her.

It was starting to get later in the day and things were winding down when my mom spotted Ariel and brought me over to her. She was sitting on her seashell in the little grotto that used to be near tomorrow land and there was no line so she rushed me up to see her. I was a little shy and hiding but my mom forced me up and Ariel sat me on her lap- keeping in character all the while.

"what's this!" she exclaimed pretending to me mesmerized by an ice cream wrapper I had in my hand. She proceeded to examine it and ask me what it was? like "is it...a hat!" putting it on her head "Or maybe a Whatchamacallit!?"
