And if you floated the idea of mini lace to bring more pizazz to the gloves... you could instead of the finger sockets give it a V-shape with lace like image pictured. (Not the short length though, obviously. I just picked the image for the way the hand part is.) The second idea would be to do the bell shaped thing instead for the hand part, hold on, lemme' find an image.
